Kim Hanselman...
For those of you who don't know me yet...
I'm the wife of a wonderful man who is now a retired Navy Senior Chief after 26 years! In our almost-25 years of marriage, I have followed this man through 10 moves from PA to FL, to CA, all over Asia on one deployment (yes, that's a great story!), back to CA, then to Hawaii, TX and finally back to PA again!! He can run, but he can't hide!! He is my sounding board and my sound man! Currently he is landscaping with his 2 brothers here in beautiful PA.
I'm the mom to 2 wonderful daughters, whom I've had the privilege of homeschooling for the past 10 years. Every time we move, I keep driving them over to the new school but they just want to keep doing what we're doing! LOL We definitely know how to put the fun in learning the FUNdamentals!!
I'm the daughter of the most incredible parents in the world. They love the Lord and believe completely on the sufficiency of His Word. I have always said that they truly "walk their talk and talk their walk." They do not say one thing and live something else. And their love for people pours out of a genuine heart. This may sound ridiculous in the world we live in, but it has been my privileged reality.
And I would venture to say that anyone who knows me, knows that my heart is completely given over to mentoring women in the Lord and that finds expression in as many forms as God is creative! These women, many of them overcoming tough pasts, are surviving heroes to me and have become my closest friends. They have made me think and dig for why I believe what I believe and have been patient when the answers to their questions aren't easy or swift. They have let me weep with them over their pain and taught me that God IS sufficient for all our needs. They remind me that our greatest acts of kindness are often to simply listen and care. These women, that I am privileged to know, are an encouragement to me! I praise the Lord for each and every one of them and hope that this website ministers to them and others like them.
Like so many others, I have more hopes and dreams than can ever happen in one season... I still hope to write more songs, to write fictional stories of how we struggle with our Creator, etc. love, Kim
